The area around the Ukonloma cabins is excellent for a wide range of outdoor pursuits, such as walking, hiking, geocaching, snowshoe hiking, cycling, berry picking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fishing, use of private rowing boat.

Experience the nature of Lapland

There is much to do and experience in the area while you stay at Ukonloma's cabins. The nature of Lapland provides excellent opportunities for hiking and other outdoor activities.

Ask us about guided excursions! For instance walks or skiing into the wilderness and savouring sooty pot coffee brewed over the campfire. You can also book a guided trip along a nature trail or other nature spots.

Ounasvaara Skiing Centre is only nine kilometres away and has downhill skiing slopes and Santa Claus golf. At the well-being and sports centre Santasport you can practice a variety of indoor sports.

There are a number of interesting nature spots in the vicinity, such as Auttiköngäs, Arctic Circle Hiking Area, Hiidenkirnut Giant's Kettle and numerous nature trails.

There are also other interesting places nearby: Ranua Zoo, the Rovaniemi Administrative and Cultural Centre designed by renowned Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, Arktikum and of course the Home Cavern of Santa Claus Santapark and the Arctic Circle.
