The area is excellent for a wide range of outdoor pursuits, such as walking, hiking, geocaching, snowshoe hiking, cycling, berry picking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fishing, use of private rowing boat.

The Ounasvaara Skiing Centre is only nine kilometres away and has downhill skiing slopes and a golf course. At Santasport you can practice a variety of indoor sports. We hire out skis, snowshoes and bicycles.

There are a number of interesting nature spots in the vicinity, such as Auttiköngäs, Arctic Circle Hiking Area, Hiidenkirnut Giant’s Kettle and numerous nature trails.

There are also other interesting places nearby: Ranua Zoo, the Rovaniemi Administrative and Cultural Centre designed by renowned Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, Arktikum and of course the Home Cavern of Santa Claus Santapark and the Arctic Circle.
